ChineseFrequency for Google Docs. Create Chinese character frequency lists.
ChineseFrequency for Google Docs [↗] adds a custom add-ons menu to provide a quick way to generate Chinese frequency lists.
Chinese character frequency is one of the fastest ways to learn about the reading level of a document. Additionally, a list of Chinese characters can be used for prioritizing character learning and retention based on the personalized learning experience.
The ability for learners to elaborate on the frequency lists, which may include the application of prior knowledge, provides a facility to improve retention and recall using long-term memory. The ability to generate SRS word lists or flash cards also affords agency for self-regulated learners who are engaged by news articles or Mandopop lyrics.
- Count characters
If there is no text selected, the entire documenet will be analyzed for the Chinese character count. A summary report is generated in the sidebar, with the options to export the Chinese frequency list to Google Sheets or a plain text data file.
